I hadn’t considered the possibility of an AI trained to be a scientist until two weeks ago when a Kurzgesagt video brought it up. Funny to see that being worked on.

That’s super cool, but also more of a novelty then something you’d actually want to use to game.
There’s a visible hole on the inside of your lower eye lid which drains excess tears into the sinuses:
There’s A Little Hole In Your Eyelid That You Probably Never Noticed. What’s It For?
Voyager was always hit or miss for me, but I always enjoyed the concept of an emergency medical hologram.
With all the plants overgrowing atop the sign, it looks like a picture from the post apocalypse, where the gas prices were obscene during end times.
It looks like the DCMA is most likely fake, at the very least DaFuqBoom didn’t send it.
I think you’re right. Much of the text has that “word adjacent” you see a lot in AI images. Also, the picture appears to be very 80s in style, but that taco bell logo wasn’t used in the 80s. I’m pretty sure the logo and Honda were edited in.
Nah, they never had a need to build big fancy nests when they were in their natural habitat. Now many of them live in cities where they nest on the sides of buildings, which are very cliff like. I don’t think they’re a very intelligent bird, but the nest building behavior is instinctual, so I wouldn’t expect them to dynamically adjust their nest building.
I recently learned that since pigeons lived on cliffs, they really only need a bit of sticks to keep their eggs in one place. Unlike a bird, which builds its nest in a tree.
The linked article said he was executed after being accused of forming a plan to become king. It goes on to say he was buying up wheat during a famine and selling it cheaply to the poor. After his death, the wheat was distributed to the people. But whether he was guilty of what he was accused and executed isn’t known.
My knee jerk reaction is that the rumors I heard that the game isn’t in a good place might be more then rumors. That sucks, I was really excited for this one, I hope it turns out great.
Yeah, you wouldn’t, but in those books, the ai of ships have random evasive movements they perform to make some shots miss.
This reminds me of how in a lot of sci-fi universes, every planet the characters go down to has earth standard gravity. When in reality there would be a ton of variance, some planets would have 20% stronger, or weaker, or crushing.
Expeditionary Force book series was a breath of fresh air, portray space battles how they probably would play out, at such long ranges you could move your ship and avoid a directed energy weapon. The books also do a great job with there being more variety in planetary conditions too. I loved that series. The audio books are fantastic, R.C. Bray does a wonderful job!
That right there is incredibly good to know. Those little changes would make it bearable! Thanks for the information!
Fantastic, Undead Legacy was on my radar! My best friend and I have played hundreds of hours of Darkness Falls and have loved every moment of it. We’ve a bit worn out on DF, but I’ll keep Undead Legacy in mind the next time we want to do another play through of a 7DTD mod! What’s the “anti-bullshit” mod do by the way?
7DTD is fun, but The Fun Pimps have made some perplexing design decisions. Luckily there are a ton of great mods that all have unique spins. I prefer the Darkness Falls mod, it fixes a lot of the stupid design decisions of the original makers, and ramps the difficulty since vanilla 7DTD can be pretty easy after you get built up. Darkness Falls adds supernatural demons to the mix in the late game, and a ton of new mechanics, I absolutely love it.
I thought that feature was related to the expensive for pay Copilot feature? The recall feature listed a huge amount of space required for it to work, something like 275 GB, SSD. There is no way that’ll just be a baked in feature in normal home Windows. Am I wrong Lemmy? To be clear, that feature can F right off.
The stages in this game are pure nostalgia. It’s so fun to explore the nooks and crannies of every stage, and look for secrets! With that being said, wave/tower defense is a huge waste for a main game type. You’re limited to how many deployables you can select to have available, only 3 at a time. Then you get coins from killing enemies, and spend the coins trying to keep your defenses up to protect the hypercores. Getting overwhelmed is pretty easy, and having your defense crumble, and not have enough money to fix them up is also common. Also, selecting 3 deployables to have available can hamstring you due to selecting say, a spike trap, defense walls, and a ground turret would leave you at a disadvantage if there are air enemies and you didn’t select the Anti-Air deployable.
Over the last year or two they finally added a free-roam so you can at least enjoy exploring the lovingly crafted stages. I think they just missed an opportunity to make something more akin to Toy Commander for Dreamcast, rather then a wave based tower defense game.
Oh shit yeah! I hope it’s good, I heard this expansion was 100% made by Gearbox, and not by Hopoo, so I’m a bit worried it won’t have the same great feel of prior content.
I know that Gearbox worked directly with Hopoo on the prior expansion, but still… it’s Gearbox.
