Upgrayedd gonna get his latinum.
Upgrayedd gonna get his latinum.
A few days ago, three Orions tried to mug me. Now, I want to be very clear about something. These pieces of garbage—they don’t know who they’re dealing with. I don’t know if they wanted money, or they wanted something more sexual. But it’s a lucky thing I had my pieces. So anyway, I started blasting
I remember him mostly as the grandpa in Grounded For Life but he’s good in a lot of stuff.
Not really. I think the only time in Trek we see a planet outright destroyed by a ship is Species 8472 fighting the Borg. Many Trek ships could maybe render an undefended planet uninhabitable, but not pulverized, and probably not with standard weapons. There are random superweapon techs like the Thalaron Pulse or biogenic weapons that could kill everything on a planet, or the trilithium bomb that Soren used & that the Bashir changeling almost used that can cause stars to go nova.
Then in Star Wars EU you have things like single star destroyers doing a Base-Delta-Zero where they essentially raze the surface of a planet. The power levels of Star Wars weapons are really kind of all over the place, with many of the old Legends specs having insanely high energy yield for things like turbolasers.
IIRC some of the “hard numbers” put out would have things like a single turbolaser shot exhausting the shield capacity of a Sovereign-class.
It’s dumb but it’s been retroactively taken to mean that it has a Class 0.5 hyperdrive, whereas a Star Destroyer has a Class 2. (Smaller class numbers are faster.) Light speed in Star Wars can be much faster than the speed of light.
But then, pretty much everything to do with specifications and numbers of Star Wars tech is a clusterfuck of technobabble that makes Voyager’s look coherent.
Hey baby I hear the blues a-callin’ Tossed gach and scrambled eggs
Oh My Mercy
And maybe I seem a bit confused. Yeah maybe, but I got you pegged! Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha!
But I don’t know what to do with those tossed gach and scrambled eggs They’re callin’ again.
Goodnight Qo’noS!
until Eddington betrayed the oath that they both made to starfleet, so it’s actually somewhat understandable that Sisko took it quite personally.
More to that point, Eddington made a fool of Sisko and used Cassidy Yates as a decoy in order to do it. Sisko never admits it, and always focuses on the betrayal of his uniform, but I think that realistically, Sisko would not have been quite as obsessed as he was if not for the personal nature of the betrayal.
I agree about the characters. It’s my main problem with the series. It got a little better as time went on but so many of the bridge crew may have well been extras for the first couple seasons. It wouldn’t have changed anything because it was The Michael Burnham Show.
The overarching season plots also keep getting more and more worn out as it goes. It’s okay to have the stakes be lower than destruction on a galactic scale. It’s okay to slow down and tell interesting stories and not feel like a panicked mess.
Worst? I hardly think that.
SNW is wonderful. It feels like old Star Trek in such a wonderful way that sets it apart from the weaknesses of Discovery, even though it was birthed out of Discovery.
Picard was at worst inoffensive. Slow in places, season 2 was weird, and season 3 was solid albeit looking back at it with a little time, a ton of it was nostalgia and finally wrapping up everything about TNG.
He does like so much like him, however with Odo that isn’t the most important thing. The voice is much more important and René’s voice is so very distinctive.
Yeah that’s always a potential thing they could continue from, or scrap at will. (I watched that again just this weekend lol)
There is palpable fan interest in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine getting a revival of some sort
They mentioned Avery’s willingness as an impediment but even if he’s onboard I don’t see it without René and Aron, among other reasons.
Should stick with Marge’s homemade Pepsi.
IIRC they also sell only Prime Video already if you really want it, though it’s usually a better deal to get the free shipping too. I presume this applies to both.
Plex is clamping down on uses violating the TOS though. They’re banning whole hosting provider IP blocks next month that were popular with people selling access to Plex servers.
I’ve also seen reports of them banning individual users sharing large libraries with family and friends over residential connections. And then sending notifications to those people that their friend/family member was running a commercial piracy operation.
and he’s endorsed RFK Jr.
Gross. Yeah Dorsey sucks generally.
as well as Musk’s purchase of Twitter.
But I don’t hold this part against him. If some moron came along and offered to drastically overpay for my house, for example, I’d endorse the fuck out of that even if he’s a shitheel.
It’s a shame. The Windows Phone version of Cortana was much better IMO than Siri and Google Assistant at the time. (And tbh Google Assistant seems to be getting worse over time.) It just wasn’t a good fit at the time for desktop PCs and Microsoft had no mobile offering to make it the default.
Why even try to finish it if you can just keep raking in money with fundraising? It’s a scam, not incompetence.
I swear it’s like they decided to save money by reusing the sets/actors/costumes from some weird softcore porn that was already in progress.
Still better than the hate crime that is Code of Honor.
