I watched the B-Boys and B-Girls finals last night out of curiosity, and it was actually pretty cool and fun to watch. Still not sure how it’s scored though, seems like they get a lot of points from judges for originality and not repeating moves.
Oxidation in the fab process. They have simultaneously claimed that oxidation isn’t causing any issues, and that it’s caused only “some” crashing issues. Because they’ve been so wishy washy, it’s probably safe to assume that any 13th or 14th gen CPU that experiences any kind of crash or BSOD is degraded and should be RMA’ed immediately, otherwise you risk getting stuck with a permanently physically degraded CPU.
Intel says they identified the issue sometime in 2023 and fixed the fab process. So the good news is that any newly manufactured Raptor Lake CPU shouldn’t have this issue. The bad news is that Intel won’t give a date range of when the fab issue occurred, or exactly what CPUs it affected (by date code), so really the only choice consumers have at this point (before we get to the inevitable class action lawsuit) is to RMA at the slightest sign of instability.
Intel is also planning to release a microcode update in August, but there’s a lot of doubt that this can be fixed via microcode.
This was affecting 50% of Raptor Lake CPUs in data centers, and it’s become clear via video game telemetry that it has also affected a significant number of consumer chips.
I loved The Longest Journey series. Beautiful games. Not without flaws, but beautiful and thoughtfully written.
For me it is a convenience thing – I spend a lot of time working from home and sometimes it’s nice to just be able to grab my phone and join a meeting while I’m sitting on the couch or w/e without needing to go over to my home office room. My team almost never does anything outside of work hours, so it’s not like I’m getting pinged or anything. In the rare situation where I get some notifications from a chat channel outside of working hours (usually someone in a different time zone) then I can just turn off work apps in Android and it goes away.
I heard there used to be raves out there 15 years ago.
Extension library for Tachiyomi forks. No idea if it works with Aniyomi.
At least they didn’t hit keiyoushi.
Which will be a more common occurrence in the future.
I wonder if it has to do with reusing the transmission lines from the coal plant.

The best jobs I’ve had are ones with flexible schedules where morning people can start at 6 or 7 and leave in the early afternoon, while night owls can start around 11 or so and work a bit later. Everyone seems so much happier and gets along better because of it.
I know not every job can be organized that way. But it really bugs me when I’m working a job and it literally doesn’t matter when the work gets done, but the schedule is still extremely rigid.
Want to drop some info here, not related to your question since it’s still out of your price range, but just for others who might be browsing, since I see HM chairs come up a lot in this thread and the other one.
A lot of these fancy ergo chairs work similar to other furniture and use a network of dealers. This is important, because dealers often sell for way less than MSRP, especially when they’re buying for clients making big offers for office buildings buildouts. Some dealers can get you a great price by basically adding your chair to a big order for another client. I wanted a HM Embody and talked to 3 dealers in my area. One of them was able to get me the chair for about $1000, and this was also customized with the fabric that I wanted. Really shows the huge markup that MSRP is on this kind of item. Dealers are sometimes also willing to give you a loaner so you can try the chair at home before you buy.
Autonomous has really good marketing and sells a really cheap chair that they probably buy for $80 at an insane markup. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not too terrible. I’ve sat in one before, and it’s certainly better than those stupid “gamer” chairs, but please understand what you are buying.
If you are considering them, tbh I would just go directly to a seller on Alibaba like:
Personally if I were you, I would look at buying a used Steelcase Leap. I bought one in leather in 2015 for $430 including shipping off eBay. Bought another one from a local dealer that had a ton from an office closeout and paid like $300. I’m looking on eBay right now and seeing pretty similar prices for used and refurbs.

I keep Teams on my Android phone but installed in its own isolated work profile via Shelter.
