Ich habe etwas verpasst, was zum fick ist hier los??? o.O ( belgian, using translation )
Was thinking as i read this post “isnt magnus the defacto world champ? Or hasnt he been for years now?”
Oh nice, didnt know that. Thanks for the info!
Now, if proton could be used outside if steam…
No way to extract what the launcher does and use it as launch options in whatever youre using to launch the game?
Oh sweet summer child. Capcom is on a very sharp edge imo.
Their games are solid, but everything around it is utter god damn dogshit.
Sf5? Beta was very solid, was fucked up before release. Also had a terrible microtransactions system.
Sf6? Very very solid base game, but to get all character and stages since last year + the game you have to pay +160 euro.
Re4? Very solid remake, but prepare to loose performance on pc due to dunovo despite it being a single player game.
Re: the village? Very solid game, but better pay shit up and also loose performance despite ALSO being a single player game.
Megaman: mega who?
Monster hunter : safe, for now. Monster hunter wilds looks amazing and loads of fun, but watch them fuck it up somehow…
I like capcom a lot, have always supported them despite shit decisions and a few near bankruptcies but its the microtransactions/usage of dunovo and other weird ass decisions is making me hold back on buying their stuff atm…
Sorry captain, i cant keep scrolling. I have work to do closes lemmy
Thats an excuse of an argument and you know it. Things like yuzu and cemu had no reason to turn a profit like they did for what they had. The devs were fine and yet they did what they did. And on the other end of the spectrum there are homebrew devs that need money ( and i donate to ) but dont sell their stuff because its better free.
I never tried to make a profit out of priiloader or any of my successful free projects either, despite wanting more money sometimes.
There is a difference between a product and a project.
This.
Let alone those tools can be used from within nintendo, and have been in the past.
As somebody who helps manage a part of homebrew tools, im totally fine with that. Means they did something right and it means nintendo wont just shut it down and believes it is useful too. So good job on you then!
Now if they used some ip, or copyrighted code, in the tools, then its game over. Instantly.
Most of what i know is from year and years of working on the console and are found on wiibrew.org haha
And not even continuous ram! The wii had 2 bits, 24MB fast memory ( mem1 ) and 64 MB of slower memory (mem2) haha
Thanks!
That was hilarious to see, and the player was good. He went into defensive mode on the second round on the first game, and in the second game he went into faking attacks to trigger reactions and punish when responding wrong. Loved it haha

Thanks! I will take a listen at that video! I imagine in sf3 it could also have been obvious with the parry system
Right, so basically things that decent skills would also get you?
Also, if you feel being aggressive doesnt help you, you start playing defensively and thats when you can strike back. Cheats or not, it still has to attack and is still stuck on the frame limits of the move right? Thats when you can strike back, no?
Im not saying cheating isnt bad, and im not saying its not annoying either, but in general fighters are different and they are completely skill based unless the cheater changes things that the other can never do.
In hindsight, pretty sure ive fought cheaters back in the day in sf4 before, but that was never that bad because i still had options to fight them back…
How would cheating in a fighter even look like? Those games are mostly about reading your opponent. Unlike a fps or moba, all info is on the screen etc :/
Auto combo-ing? Auto reponse? Legit curious as i dont think ive seen cheaters in fighters before, but ive been out of the loop since sf4 haha
Yes, the serial port, bba and memory card all share the exi bus, so from a software standpoint they can all be communicated with via the same bus interface ( but hardware commands/communication is hardware specific ofc )
For more info :

Exactly. Thats why i made the pcb design for the connector, everything is measured out and the pinout is written out too.
It also is connected to the exi bus, which is shared with the memory cards…
Makes no sense tbh
Thats fair, thanks for explaining!
