This article is from before they dropped droplet theory later in 2020. In the section titled “Factors to Consider when Using Cloth Masks to Protect Wearers and to Prevent Spread of Infection during the COVID-19 Pandemic”:

They then go on to explain that cloth masks are the option of last resort and are not very useful. Surgical masks with proper fitting around the face and a certain minimum rating for water resistance will help, but most of the “surgical” masks we were all buying do not have enough layers and no water resistance ratings, and who among us got training on how to properly fit a mask to our faces?
Dropping a link and calling it information when you don’t understand the content or haven’t read it is not productive.
Surgical/cloth are pretty much useless for COVID. N95s buy you temporary protection unless you’ve got the special face fittings needed to actually seal your face. It depends on the environment you’re in but the worst case scenarios (like enclosed spaces without high airflow), the last study I saw was on the Delta variant and they said about 15 minutes if both parties are masked. It does get better from there though, with good ventilation you might have a few hours, and being outdoors you’re actually pretty safe.
The droplet theory was dropped within the first few months. It turns out it’s not just COVID; many infections we thought were spread by droplets are actually airborne.
People are still playing? That’s tempting, I still haven’t found something that hits the spot this game did.
I live in one of the more humid areas of Canada and when people tell you it can’t get humid when it’s that cold I wonder if they’ve ever experienced how the cold can just cut right through your clothes.
Summer humidity is absolutely the worst though, and people die here every year because of it.

I used to be a heavy industrial player in EVE Online and Foxhole fills the hole, surprisingly. Each faction has at least one group whose sole purpose is logistics, and they’re both decent.
How the hell are League of Legends or Valorant considered MMOs? Are Rocket League or Team Fortress 2 MMOs? Is Battlefield 5 an MMO now?
The expansion of this term to include 5v5 games is never not going to piss me off.
Connect the internet connection directly to the router, then connect the router to the wall ports. If it doesn’t have enough ports, connect the router to a TP-Link switch, and then the switch to the wall ports.
Wall port 3 only connects to one device (PC) so no further action needed.
Wall port 1 connects to 2 or more devices, so connect the wall port to a TP-Link switch and then from there to your Nintendo Switch docks and the Pi
After that unless you’ve done some weird configuration your gear will all be on the same subnet. You may want to manually assign the PC’s IP address to make it easier to use streaming, but that’s not mandatory.

Icarus looks interesting but I’ve been eyeing Enshrouded. My wife liked playing Volcanoids, Astroneer, Drake Hollow, Smalland, Conan Exiles, Dinkum, Palworld, and of course Stardew Valley, among others. Not sure which of those are on sale but check them out.

YAML is not supported by a lot of enterprise software (example: Azure pipelines supports it but Power Automate does not). JSON, XML, CSV, or failing that Text are the safe bets. We use a few options for reading or building presentation layers quickly. Ultimately the idea is to move data around in a way that is friendly to our current and future applications.

I have unironically been preaching the powers of text and JSON, and have some converts. Universal compatibility is great.
The kids really like the beat em ups like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Streets of Rage. They also like Wobbly Life and Wobbledogs (though you will probably want a mouse for that one). N+ was a hit too.
Of course I’ve got some emulated stuff too and you can’t go wrong with Super Mario World, Golden Axe, or Gauntlet Legends.

Seriously though it’s really well thought out actually. Each planet has unique challenges you will have to deal with and it’s clear they put a lot of effort into designing these challenges and their solutions. Each planet grants new features that give you options you wouldn’t otherwise have to help solve other problems. Lots of quality of life changes and an ever-improving user experience.
It won’t win over people who didn’t like Factorio but fans of the game will get more of what they love.
