Yeah definitely a thing. I’m not familiar with the book you had mentioned, but I know from the show Bones, the main character Temperance Brennan, is very autism coded. It’s never officially indicated, in the show, what her deal is when it comes to social interactions, but it’s been hinted on officially by staff and writers that she is autistic to some degree. It’s not a very accurate portrayal of high functioning autism, however it technically counts I guess?

America was a very different place and America loved Disney. This would have been watched by a lot of gen x, both on the early end as parents, and on the late end as children. My public school education on pemdas is that for multiplication/division and addition/subtraction, you do them on order from left to right. Doing it that way gets me 16, which I believe to be right, but I’m also very bad at math. The way you had explained is also technically correct, if you do the multiplication out of order. Now that I think about it, you could solve for the parentheses by multiplying 2+2 by two, giving you 8/8 quicker and still yielding 1. I’m now having more doubts about my math capabilities, both are right, but I know that’s wrong, I just don’t know why

Those third parties provide shit protection for consumers since they’re not held to any of the dispute related regulations like Regulation E. Accidentally send the wrong person a transfer through zelle? Get scammed buying a puppy on Cash app? Ripped off on an eBay sale through PayPal? Get fucked, that’s your problem.
