I once got called in to diagnose why it took 5 minutes to open up a single Excel file. The PC itself was a little dated and underpowered, but the file size was huuuge…like hundreds of MB.
It finally opened. There was ugly table-formatting…to the entire spreadsheet. Colored cell borders, alternating background fill, text and font formatting applied to every single cell; columns A-IV and rows 1-65,536. I pointed that out and said the only way to fix is start a new one and not apply the formatting, or to try and remove it from all the cells. She outright refused because she liked the way it was. So I left, and she went back to looking at pictures of her cats
JulYn is always carrying around a mug of blood wine wherever he goes, and no matter what happens, he gets into glorious battle with a bat’leth, or piloting his Bird of Prey the IKS Boyz, he never spills a drop
That’s the benefit of top notch practical effects, and going off-the-wall bonkers with the interpretation of future, as opposed to “200 years from now except contemporary styles and slang”
Oh good, because if there’s one thing Star Trek needs it’s another origin story /s
and likened the tone to the Guardians of the Galaxy movies.
Oh good, a light-hearted romp where half the characters act like idiots, that’s exactly what a Star Trek movie about a clandestine blackops organization should be like
The best part, they even used a scene from Aliens when they were waking up!
Enterprise also went out of their way to make that NCC-1764 USS Defiant to look and sound exactly as it appeared for TOS era
One thing I’ve found is it’s good at blocking ads via mobile gaming. The downside is if those ads return rewards in-game.
i dunno, 68F on a cloudy windy day isn’t as pleasant as 68F and sunny.
But then again I’m from Ohio and I won’t bother to put on so much as a vest until it hits 50s
It’s been a while but I think they tried to establish 100F as the average human body temperature. But after they established that baseline turns out they were off by 1.4 degrees and couldn’t change it.
They outright said in DS9 that it was supposed to be a fleet or swarm. The idea was that a large number of Defiant Class ships would attack. With how fast and maneuverable they are they wouldn’t be large sitting ducks like Nebula, Galaxay or Excelsior classes.
I haven’t watched past S2 of Lower Decks, but if you like slapstick humor busting at the seems with fanservice and callbacks then you might like it.
I’m definitely curious to see how it ties into the ST:Resurgence comic from last year! Plus the cameos!
