I posted that as a joke but being serious, I got my Wilderness First Responder cert last year and honestly believe that these are skills I should have learned in high school. It was only a three week course but it gave such great information and preparation that it should be standard in education. The 911 operator I engaged with relayed information to and from the EMS that was heading to the site and I don’t think anyone is really going to use YouTube or similar for this purpose. Chances are, if they need YouTube, they are probably panicking and if not, then the operator can relay basics. Good on you for doing a damn hard job I know I couldn’t pull off.

I waited on CP2077 till a year into release and had a blast playing it on the Deck. I’m going to do the same thing with Starfield where I will wait to see if they can get it running in the Deck and maybe then give it a shot.

I used to work there and the money is amazing when the stock is rising. Since the stock stopped rising at the extreme rate that it was, it’s now just comparable to other tech orgs.

When doing world rankings, to me it’s a better visual to compare each US region/state to countries as the size of the US is a big factor. Each region has its own distinction. I live in the Pacific Northwest which is (I believe) comparable to most developed countries. If you’re in the southeast, the rankings drop and your probably better off in Eastern Europe. The Northeast US (I.e. New England) is also comparable to most developed countries but the Midwest is moving more towards a theocratic style of localized governance. The US isn’t in a position I’m any region to compete with Norway, Finland, Denmark, etc but that’s why they are ranked at the top.

The issue here is that the UK isn’t doing something good in this one circumstance. You can’t create a man in the middle encryption scheme and hope your the only man in the middle. It fundamentally breaks the baseline security and privacy of the solution.

I think the commenter meant the saying we have in the US which is call and write your representatives/senators. They were indicating doing whatever the UK version of that appears to be falling on deaf ears as the article states the politicians do not appear to be taking the advise of educated advisors so they are also likely going to ignore the public.

We all know that the look of the interface will stay the same throughout the lifetime of the car. At least with CarPlay or Android Auto, it represents the interface of your phone. CarPlay is a hard requirement for my vehicles.

Agree on this. I dropped Spotify after the Rogan fiasco and switched to Apple Music. It’s not as good but I refuse to go back to Spotify. I really hoped that Apple would have a great product but the interface isn’t great and experience has been less than great. Happy to hear they are finally putting some resources into improvements.
