I had a similar experience. Never played the Hoenn games, but I have copies of both FireRed and LeafGreen.

The worst part is, she probably got very little for those Pokemon games that are now worth $100+ a piece.
Low key actually worth a small fortune. This is a great selection.
Accounts can indicate whether they are bots. You can even filter posts from bot accounts.
I’m guessing that no one here does. If you’re on Lemmy, you’re probably also using Mastodon instead of Twitter.
I absolutely don’t understand people who think the best course of action is to waste their time giving Reddit a ton of traffic to create a tiny protest on r/place that will have little impact on anything.
And it sounds like Jefferson was already familiar with it anyway, if he was thinking it was the best system. I find it very doubtful that the only holdup was that there was no one to demonstrate it.

My first job was as a seasonal delivery helper for UPS during the holidays. We would work crazy days, 8 am to 8 pm usually. We wouldn’t even stop for lunch, I would take bites of food I had brought between stops. I figured that was just the way things were, never had a job before that.
When I saw my paycheck, I noticed they were taking out time for both lunch breaks and other breaks that were required by law. I never took a single one of those breaks, because the driver I worked with didn’t. I felt powerless to complain, because I really needed a job, but looking back it pisses me off to no end. That was blatant theft of my time.
The only real community I saw that migrated was r/piracy. Otherwise, I’ve experienced basically the same thing you have.
I’ll bet they wouldn’t.
Odd, I haven’t had this issue at all. Upvoting works just fine for me in Liftoff.
I’ve been disappointed at how inactive the Rust communities I’ve seen are. r/rust was the main reason I visited Reddit.
It really is a defining moment for Lemmy. If the devs can’t adapt quickly enough to handle the traffic, I doubt many Reddifugees will stick around.
You’re not alone in observing this. Cory Doctorow wrote a great piece about this phenomenon: Tiktok’s Enshittification. It seems to be the fate of any centralized social media platform.
I had the same issue. It seems that lemmy.world is not yet upgraded to 0.18, but Jerboa requires it. I was able to fix it by downloaded an older version of Jerboa (specifically, version 0.34 or older).
I later switched to Liftoff, which seems to be a much smoother experience.
I’m sure that copy of mother 3 is bootleg, right?
