I’m so glad that I don’t live in a socialist country. If I did, I wouldn’t be able to get the medication I need to be a contributing member of society, because of the mismanagement of a greedy few I’m sure.
I’m proud to ration my medication, because it means that I’m doing my part to buy a third boat worth more than my entire house for a legacy c student from Yale!

It would be a crying shame if someone were to figure out a way to force those e ink displays to refresh fast enough that it kills the batteries on those things…
I’ve still got my old Anova, Bluetooth one. I don’t even use the app ever, I can set it up with the wheel and buttons. Still works great after like 5+ years. That said, I won’t be recommending them to anyone going forward.

Plex has been enshittifying hard the last few years. I recommend trying out jellyfin if you haven’t in awhile.
I have some ducks living in my garage, they don’t pay rent, they poop everywhere, and contrary to the meme, they do not enjoy being lifted off the ground.
They do, however, eat vegetables out of my hands, and if I sit on the ground near them the will nibble my hands and feet.
They are incredible and much like dogs we truly don’t deserve them.

Sometimes you need a little treat, go for the naproxen. Every once in awhile I’ll take one of those for a headache and it makes me realize how much my whole body hurts sometimes.
Depending on where you’re at I’m not sure I’d want to put mine or my kid’s name on anything that could be used to make us a target. At pride last year we spent some time talking to pflag and I ultimately decided not to give them our information, but took a card and flyer.

Depending on where you’re at defending your kid from the state is now something that must be part of your calculations. If you can afford it, I recommend moving to as safe of a state as you can. Because feeling like your government is targeting you is painful, exhausting, and incredibly lonely.
To be fair, it applied in feudalism too, depending on how important you were.
It was pre-NCLB, I think they had a lot more freedom on curriculum then.
The chef states are (from North to South) Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas, and Louisiana. Those states, amongst others, grow a lot of food, Corn, wheat, rice, pork, beef, and soy, come immediately to mind. They’re certainly not the only ones, but they do a lot.
From 3rdish grade iirc, MIMAL (Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas, and Louisiana) is a man in a chefs hat making lots of food for the whole country. MN being the hat, LA being the shoes.
