I’m curious where crickets would fall on this scale.
I’m curious where crickets would fall on this scale.
Bombers don’t necessarily have to come with bombs. They could be used to dump water for example on a forest fire. The bombs are extra.
Let’s say they didn’t have the vehicles. What would they arm them with?
That’s like saying we’ll send the Israelis bombers but if they arm them with bombs, that’s on them.
You’re being pedantic but it’s a stupid argument to make.
This is how I read his comment as well.
I mean we sold the Saudis weapons to bomb the Yemenis, so I’m just surprised we haven’t been sending Israel weapons to bomb the Gazans.
As long as we’re replacing them faster than they can leave, right? /S
Canada has always been a stepping stone for these people.
You expect his supporters to read the bill?
Not just that, but private insurance companies are cutting coverage across the board. We’re paying more for mediocrity.
It’s the Canadian way - expert
Is Dougie going to slap some carbon tax stickers on at the pumps again?
I can’t wait to hear the temporarily embarrassed billionaires complain that this will impact them.
I know this focuses on the diamond mines, but there are remote indigenous communities that rely on the ice roads for connections in the winter and having vital supplies delivered.
Germany has some experience with this sort of thing.
Canada has a stellar track record when it comes to preserving indigenous communities. I’m sure they would extend that to other indigenous communities across the world.

Right wing lunatics point out that BC has fared worse. Despite the evidence that you just shared.
An order of magnitude lower would still be 3,000 civilians dead - that’s on the scale of 9/11.
Ah yes another Israeli showing their true colours and equating all Palestinians to Hamas. Nowhere in the motion did it indicate that Hamas would be legitimized. The motion did call for recognition of Palestinian statehood - if we accept that Israel has a right to exist based on the UN resolution, then Palestine has a right to exist based on the same resolution.
Now on to the nonsense about Palestinians rejecting the peace process. Remember, it was an Israeli who assassinated Yitzhak Rabin, thereby derailing the Oslo accords - there is some evidence that Shin Bet (the Israeli secret service) was aware of the threat on Rabin’s life and stood by. In 1996, the final nail was put in the coffin when Israelis elected Netanyahu, knowing full well he was against the peace process.
The only conclusion that can be drawn is that it is in fact the Israelis who are against peace in the middle east, and this woman is simply projecting her views on the Palestinian people.
I am also not convinced this woman constitutes a minority in Israel. The majority of Israelis remain silent during the ongoing campaign against the Gazans.
Ms. Joly…also said on Monday that the Canadian government had offered to make the Royal Canadian Mounted Police available to investigate allegations of sexual assaults in the region.
I assume this offer was rejected by Israel. Because any external investigations would lead to many more questions.
Michal Cotler-Wunsh, Israel’s special envoy for combating antisemitism, castigated Ms. Joly in a response on social media, warning that Canada was creating a “false moral equivalence” that would “fuel rising antisemitism” in the country.
It’s not antisemitism if we’re calling out Israelis for sexually assaulting Palestinian men and women.
Times have also changed. The information available on our fingertips is showing that things are not as black and white as they seem. Back during the world wars, mass propaganda convinced us to go fight for imperialist reasons (remember, we did not go to war with Nazis over their treatment of the Jews).
It’s a lot harder to convince a populace to go to war when it’s not clear the opponent is entirely in the wrong.
