“Every year, there are fewer letters to deliver to more addresses, adding significant cost pressures to the Corporation on top of continued inflationary pressures,” stated Canada Post.
I wonder how long before it becomes a parcel only service.

Please no! I shouldn’t need to constantly re-grant permissions unless an app has maybe had a major update where it may warrant review.
I am already annoyed how often iOS asks me am I sure I want an app to run in background etc when that is the point of said app.
CrowdStrike managed to break Linux systems a few months ago

Linux, windows and MacOS have security APIs to avoid kernel drivers but they also let the user approve 3rd parties to install them still.
Kind of old news “Posted July 19, 2024 10:45 am Updated July 19, 2024 3:12 pm”
The ONLY place I have used cash in the last year at least has been having a coin for my shopping cart and the local dump only takes cash.
I get 2-3% back on every transaction my credit card and pay it off every month for zero fees.
Sometimes the controls are just better on the Emulators at least on older PC ports as they would do dumb stuff like require a mouse / keyboard for menus etc.
On the steam deck in particular when getting steam versions of games with lower steam deck compatibility ratings it often comes down to odd menu issues or controller support.
I suspect that since the borg needed such detailed info on picards body and they altered starfleet transporters that it only would work on “known” species in the federation databases.
Ultimately the assimilated just needed to out number and overwhelm the older old un effected backed up by complete computer ship control of all federation vessels. The plan never needed total assimilation.
SO my answer is that they would probably be immune.
piped… for privacy… O wait you need to log in first.
I am somewhat neutral on her, when she was introduced I kind of felt she was a gender swapped bones to setup the bones / spock dynamic but with data.
Sadly the only thing I remember her for is being mean to data, getting rapidly aged, and replacing Picard’s heart, that is 3 out of 22 episodes she is credited in.
For me Crusher vs Pulaski somewhat comes down to bedside manner/ compassion. Pulaski just comes across as a bit blunt and prickly at times and Pulaski just has fewer memorable episodes due to only having the one season.
What not including the 3rd major player Jim Pattison Group (Overwaitea/SaveOnFoods)? I can’t imagine they are not also involved… We only have 3 major players like we have 3 major telecoms in Canada.
That looks like a cell tower list not a list of alternatives.
Mobile network operators (MNOs)
Nearly everything is owned by Bell, Telus, Rogers and if you travel roam they end up being your national roaming option with most of the other options.
He opens the video with “over the years I have used ZHA and Zigbee2mqtt” so I made a little assumption. but that makes it worse if he was already using Zigbee2mqtt when he picked up the Sky Connect and didn’t check compatibility.
If you are using a supported NON experimental adaptor / chipset and you have powered devices with strong connections to it, you should be fine. The only optimization I would do is put your USB stick on an extension cable and get it a little ways away from the computer as when they are jacked directly into a pi/computer the USB port can actually cause a little interference.
To save you going 5 min into the video… He was using an adapter with zigbee2mqtt that was listed as experimental.
It is less about the network adaptor and more that he switches from zha to zigbee2mqtt with the skyconnect / homeassistant adaptor that is still not fully supported in zigbee2mqtt.
Using a coordinator more central to your network can help but as long as a large number of your powered relay devices have a strong connection there isn’t anything wrong with using the USB ones.
The ONLY issue with the USB ones is that it is recommended you put them on an extension cable as the USB port it self can cause interference, and putting a little distance from the antenna helps.
So his solution DOES all that, and is a good solution, but I wouldn’t just go toss your USB stick in the bin…
I don’t “LIKE” Loblaws but the majority of items I purchase are notably cheaper there than Sobeys stores or Jim Pattison Group owned stores IE the majority of the alternatives.
I use Costco a lot and more and Walmart more and more for groceries these days…
Remember when everyone used to shout buy Canadian?

Ya, Amazon dominated by going from books to everything. However more importantly the put warehouses and distribution EVERYWHERE… It used to take 2-4weeks domestically to buy something mail-order or on line. It was amazon that got us down to 3 days, next day, then same day for online orders.
Back in 1993 Sears had this ability… I used to remember my mom shopping from the catalogue and driving in to the closest little Sears pickup location which where everywhere like little UPS stores etc. Hell further back in time you could order a house from Sears.
In hind sight, if Sears still had its credit division and distribution network it would have been able to take on modern online buy now pay later services and been able to out deliver amazon.
They literally had all the pieces already in place with their catalog/mail order/warehouses.
They already screwed up however
In 1993, Sears discontinued its famous catalog to focus on in-store retail operations.
To fight off Walmart they got rid of all the shipping and things that made the catalog work in 1993 like the little outlet /pickup stores in small communities.
They focused on the physical stores and peaked in 2007 just in time for Amazon to take off. They no longer had all that distribution that gave up in 1993.
Locally they arn’t even as expensive as Safeway (Sobleys) or Save-On-Foods (Jim Pattison Group) stores. Hell Last time I tried to shop at a safeway as I was staying somewhere else it was 20% more expensive than Superstore (Loblaws)
The ones I need, otherwise I always prefer core HA elements if possible.
With recently UI improvements in HA I have actually removed several HACS
