Honestly, if the idea of no trials don’t bother you, there are plenty more reminders why YOU shouldn’t preorder.
To be fair on ‘what happened’, games would occasionally run out of stock early at launch and pre-ordering would guarantee you a copy.
It’s not really an issue now with everything being digital.
