    Yes they do most of their reviewing based on the privacy policy. I think in some cases these are boilerplate, that is to say it is maybe unlikely that your Nissan Leaf is tracking your sexual activity, however the fact that they put it there gives them wide latitude to change their behavior later on.

    Also it is very troubling that the only way to opt out now or into future changes is essentially “don’t use or ride in the car” which is highly impractical. It is unfortunate that we accepted such behavior with other consumer goods instead of pursuing restitution for the now useless gadgets (if there are precedence for companies having to pay for shitty terms updates that caused people to stop using things they bought, maybe a car company would think twice).
