Don’t throw stones in crystalline entities.

I remember thinking how embarrassing.
But now, as I’ve gotten older imagine how utterly terrifying and how violated somebody has to feel to find out somebody made a virtual sex doll out of you.
It gets more dark the longer you think about it. Especially if you consider as the head of engineering he has access to every security scan and detailed sweep of you, any logs/buffers from transports, details about your “private” quarters (and scans/imagery from there) and the computer that controls your air, your food, your schedule, security team communications and is able to divert who is where and when.
And considering how often they change the computer pathways, jury rig the warp engines, etc I’m going to guess that electronic security isn’t at the top of list.
Exhibit A: Holodeck Moriarty becoming sentient and gaining access to the ships computer. They can’t even fire all off their entertainment/training systems from core systems.
I really wouldnt call that a virtual sex doll. She helped him save the ship. The romance happened because Lwaxana is Computer.
It wasn’t a sex doll, it was basically 24th century chatgpt imitating an engineer, and then shifting the role into romance. He never asked for that, and at most it was reading his body language etc. as feedback and played into the behaviors that got whatever the computer considered to be a positive response.
Geordi’s best move once it was discovered probably would have been to say “I asked the computer to give me a realistic person to bounce ideas off of in a crisis, and I turned it off when it started saying weird stuff like that.” Assuming he didn’t go back to bone the hologram after the original episode ended, the computer should be able to back him up.
Geordi has sudo privs for sure.
sudo rm holodeck.log
Those missing logs? No idea. Must be a glitch. Try reversing the polarity and doubling the neutrino flow or some shit.

Geordi’s best move would have been to start with, “You’re not going to believe this, but…” instead of giving off major creeper vibes for most of the episode, only fessing up once caught, and then trying to gaslight her into thinking it was unreasonable for her to be upset. Watching him try and squirm his way out of “How did you know that?” situations is painful.
[Computer/Lwaxana voice]
Geordi had me assist him to formulate a solution for the engines. Upon completion, his eyes were dilated, cheeks flush, and there was a marked increase of heat in his groin.
…I’m not hearing a “no”, so…?
Your caption would make an incredible episode title, and now I want to know the plot
All I know is that it means “Somehow Palp… er, Lore returned” and I’m all for it.
I would love an episode where Lore either time travels or finds an iconian gateway and hijinks ensue.
Also maybe there’s a mirror universe Lore and Data that can come into play.
Now you’re thinking 4th dimensionally, Marty!
LaForge has moved on with his life, and up in the ranks at Starfleet. But, behind his back, people still whisper about how he was the only person to ever make Dr. Brahms cry.
Still a better love story than Twilight. Not that I approve, merely objectively better.
